This is just a reminder for anyone and everyone interested: The 2026 Houston World Naked Bike Ride is happening as scheduled on Saturday night, 12 September. The theme is inspired by a frequent body-paint slogan: Can You See Us NOW!?
The start/finish will be at Super Happy Fun Land, 3801 Polk Street in Houston’s East End. SHFL has hosted numerous WNBRs and Victory Lap rides since Houston’s first WNBR in 2011. The ride itself runs from 8 pm until about midnight, but riders and other participants can get to SHFL as early as 5 pm.
Other information worth knowing:
- As of this writing, the route and stops are not completely determined. Generalities of the route will be announced just before the ride.
- There will be body painters on hand to help you get decorated. Body painting begins at 5 pm.
- Flakey’s Pizza, right there at Polk and Milby Streets, will be open at 6 pm for your dining pleasure; there may be other vendors on site if you’re looking for a snack.
- There will also be 2026 WNBR t-shirts available, with a design inspired by the photo on this site’s new homepage. The full-color shirt will cost about $30, with proceeds going to cover ride expenses. Bring cash or Venmo (@htownwnbr). There will also be a less expensive monochrome shirt.
- The 2025 ride had an unrequested police escort. The officers accompanying the ride were there to enforce the city’s nudity ordinance, so riders could not participate fully nude. We don’t yet know whether this year’s ride has caught the attention of city officials warranting a repeat of last year’s escort.
- The usual consent rules apply: Don’t use nudity as an excuse to “hit on” other participants, nor to take photographs of other participants without their expressed permission. Sexual activity will not be tolerated. We want all participants to feel comfortable, even while riding Bare As You Dare through Houston’s streets at night.
